‘Sex Kills’ is a Joni Mitchell song taken from her Grammy-award winning 1994 ‘Turbulent indigo’ album. Referencing gun violence, AIDS, global warming and consumerism, it is a song about turbulent times, that still has particular relevance in the #Metoo era.

This jazz-tinged and at times dissonant arrangement is influenced by the harmonies and jazz piano sound of the late McCoy Tyner, but the vocal parts are rhythmically accessible. It features a short solo for Baritone or tenor in Verse 2.
