My 'Conductor Conversation' with Benjamin Thiele-Long

Yesterday, I spent an hour in an online ‘conductor conversation’ organized by the San Diego Choral Consortium. Both British choral directors living in San Diego, Ben and I discovered that we had a lot in common, but also that we had very different approaches.

In our wide-ranging conversation, we discussed activist choral singing, how to solve the issue of a lack of tenors, the value of international collaboration, and, of course, tea and digestive biscuits!
