The annual Portland Women Jazz Composers Ensemble Prize.

I am honored to have just finished my work adjudicating for the annual Portland Jazz Composers Ensemble Prize, run by the IAWM (International Alliance for Women In Music). The standard was high, and many of the submissions highly creative and accomplished. It was fun to work with top jazz flutist Ali Ryerson and Michelle Cheng, and I learnt a lot.

A long way to go, but it looks as though women's jazz is in a fantastic place right now!
